Hank Moody is my hero!

Hank Moody is the smoothest guy on television. I want to be Hank Moody. Absolutly hilarious!!! Now that I'm reaching my mid-30's myself, its great to finally have a character I could relate to and live my old life vicariously through him. He always speaks the truth and everything seems to fall in his lap. Genius!! In a way, I dont ever want to see him get Karen back. Let the ride continue. The writing is incredible. Would love the opportunity to get in on the action and help with writing an episode. Let me know if you need a little help and/or advice. Keep it going!!! Easily the best show on television. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Hank Moody is not smooth, just quick-witted. He's a man on a mission to perfect "self-loathing" believing that sympathy is a course of action for achieving his goals...i.e. reuiniting his family. In fact, he's quite pathetic sometimes in the way that he lets life happen to him rather than scooping up what's left of his dignity and reassembling it into a new direction. I have no doubt that a more confident, directed man would certainly get noticed by Karen, but Hank is nothing if not a man of habit. This seemed to work for him most of his life and he's hoping to get one last hoorah out of the self-pity before he actually decides to grow up, as if growing up is a disease he is desperately trying to avoid. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. I think that is the best sum-up of Hank Moody I have ever seen. I think she is right on the ball. I know a guy not too far from how Hank Moody is, and let me say, that you can play around with the self-loathing card for a long time before you are forced to grow up.

Yikes! That sounds all way-to-close to home!
