Girls

Anyone else noted that this episode had the most girls Hank did in bed and had the most nudity then all of the other upcoming episodes? Looks like the critics told them to 'cool it down a bit'. But I must say, I enjoyed the girls because many other shows just don't have enough of them.

I think there's an infinite number of possibilities on why the nudity and women has gone down, least likely of which being the critics. For one, they likely had an idea of what the plot would be in most the episodes in season 1 long before the critics saw the pilot. The pilot needed a lot of women and sex to establish Hank's chaotic love life. After that, we didn't really need to see him banging three-plus women an episode. That would leave too little time for all the other fun stuff, and it would also be really lame.

This was the pilot. All the sex and crazy Hank-stunts (getting a blowjob by a nun in a Catholic church...priceless) were to get viewers hooked. If the pilot is lukewarm, it won't grab viewers. Obviously WE were all hooked after the Pilot!

Remember that this was the Pilot episode. It had great music, lots of sex and "trash talk", a drug scene where Becca was carried away by her Dad (and several other drug/alcohol scenes)....they had to ensure that the Pilot would be watched and talked about to get us hooked. Worked, didn't it??? ;)
