Top Ten Songs I want to hear played on Californication
Sep 27 2007, 6:53 PM EDT 1. "Her Eyes" by Pat Monahan 2. "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters 3. "What a Fool Believes" by the Doobie Brothers 4. "My Next Thirty Years" by Tim McGraw 5. "Gold Digger" by Kanye West 6. "Hurt" by Johnny Cash 7. "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash 8. "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" by Shania Twain 9. "Bubbly" by Colbie Caillat 10. "Swallowed in the Sea" by Coldplay Why these songs? 1. It conjures up thoughts of Hank thinking about Becca or Karen. 2. It applies to Hank. 3. It defines part of Hank. 4. Maybe Hank could get his stuff together in the next 30 years. 5. Too many random hook ups to count (and one that robbed Hank, even though she came back). 6. It applies to Hank (and others). 7. It conjures hope for Hank and Karen getting back together. 8. It could be applied to many situations 9. Its a sweet and fun love song. 10. Its the perfect song for Hank and Karen (They live by the sea, Hank is drowning in a sea of...) 2 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you? |

Oct 1 2007, 2:51 AM EDT Nice list. Here is a list of songs I'd like to hear in the show 1. Bad Dream - Keane (for two reasons. 1. because Hank often has a lot of bad dreams. And 2. he feels as though his life at the moment is a bad dream, and that if he woke up from that dream, he would be married to Karen and living with her and Becca). 2. To Be Alone With You - Sufjan Stevens (because Hank would give anything to be back with Karen) 3. Nothing Like You & I - The Perishers (this song should be used in one of the scenes where Hank and Karen spend time with each other without the presence of Bill) 4. World Spins Madly On - The Weepies (this is one of the most appropriate songs for Hank because he feels like the world is passing him by and there is nothing he can do about it) 5. Pills - The Perishers (this is also another extremely appropriate song for Hank because on the outside he is a cool, calm & successful individual, but on the inside he is struggling to deal with what's going on around him, and therefore frequently turns to substance abuse to assist him to forget his life) 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Nov 5 2007, 11:30 PM EST Great lists I especially like "In her eye's" and " The Pretender" ( love Foo Fighters) I think Eddie Vedder's cover for an 80's song by the Indio's; "Hard Sun" would be a great song to add! " Wild World" by Cat Stevens is another fav. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Nov 11 2007, 8:42 PM EST I'd love to hear anything by Dax Riggs' bands. Dax's music is meaningful but a bit dark, which would complement Hank's personality (and life). "Living is Suicide" would probably fit well. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
