Redidona

Hello Ya'll from a Tennessee Transplant. Most "TN transplants" are called "half-backs", those who leave the North, move to Florida, ditch the Sunshine State and only move half-way back. However, I heard the call to "go anywhere but here" and left California 17 years ago and somehow found my way to a very small town in the Southern Appalachians. My neighbors never miss a chance to remind me that I'm not from here. In fact, the first question asked of anyone who speaks with an accent (to all Southerners, Californians speak with an accent), is "Where ya'll from?" I've since learned that "ya'll" is not necessarily a collective term. In spite of my ability to win over the locals, I've decided to stay because it pisses all right people off and I love the incredible Southern culture!
